A Comparative Behavioural Study of Machine Learning and Deep Learning Models for Network Intrusion Detection

Evaluated the efficacy of ML and DL models on massive network intrusion datasets (NSL-KDD, CIC-IDS 2017) exhibiting extreme class imbalances and zero-day topological shifts. Processed over 2.8 million flow records to isolate structural bottlenecks in classification architectures.
